74th Golden Globe Awards 2017

I would like to wish you all a fantastic 2017! It is going to be an amazing and exciting year!

And on that note, I am opening this year blog with some glamorous news regarding the 74th Golden Globe Awards which honoured the best film and American television of 2016.

Couture fashion designers are the one creating the most buzz with their beautiful gowns at the red carpet however, no outfit is completed without a marvellous piece of diamond jewellery. Diamonds are a girl's best friends, after all!

The presenters and nominees glowed in jewels, watches and other luxury goods from international brands and independent designers.

Actresses opened the evening with a variety of diamond necklaces, drop earrings and cuff bracelets, from the traditional to the more creative, making this past edition of the Golden Globe Awards the most unforgettable jewellery display that ever graced the red carpet from the past five years.

Amy Adams w/dandling earrings & cuff bracelet

Blake Lively showed off her post-pregnancy figure in a plunging gown and wearing two amazing king-sized green emerald & diamonds cuff bracelets.

While, the elegant and classic Amy Adams had an ultra modern look with her Tom Ford shiny black gown adorned by a sparking diamond cuff and dandling earrings.

These kind of bold cuff bracelets were dominating the scenes at the Golden Globe. This striking look gives the impression of a ‘Wonder Woman’, a woman who is strong and not afraid to show off her powers.

I personally love them and think they bring and exciting addition to a particular outfit. They can be encrusted with different shape of diamonds or being as refined as a delicate lace, they are all beautiful despite width or shape.

Drop earrings were another predominant choice by many actresses. Pregnant Natalie Portman is wearing a midi-sleeved Prada maternity gown and cascading diamond earrings flowing like a piece of silk fabric.

A pair of dandling earrings can complement the ultimate gown providing you wear them as a single piece of jewellery. This special pair of earrings have to become your focal point. You shouldn’t wear a necklace or anything else as you will detract from their beauty.

And, please have a look at the next image featuring the fabulous multi shape dandling diamond drop earrings worn by Amal Clooney which make her radiant smile stand out like a beacon of light.

Necklaces were everywhere, in different shapes and forms: diamond chokers, more delicate models or antique pieces, the selection was endless.

Emma Stone Art Deco piece

The 28 year old Emma Stone who won Best Actress in a Musical, dazzled everyone in her elegant nude-coloured gown and wearing an Art Deco antique diamond necklace.

Jessica Chastain was as elegant as ever wearing a Prada gown embellished with floral details and a beautiful lariat diamond necklace. She was a nominee for Best Actress Motion Picture Drama.

Nicole Kidman & double row riviera necklace

And, Nicole Kidman, continues to rule the red carpet despite her bizarre behaviour.

She was wearing an ethereal Alexander McQueen gown featuring sequinned sleeves enhanced by an exquisite diamond double row riviera necklace. A must have piece of jewellery!

And last but not least simplicity! What a simple yet elegant pair of diamond earrings can do to beautify and enrich an already elaborate gown.

Brie Larson wearing simple stud earrings

Both actresses, Claire Foy and Brie Larson are wearing magnificent gowns with very simple diamond jewellery earrings.

So, to conclude I should say that sometimes "less is more!"
